World-Class Specialists to serve as the 2022-23 Official Healthcare Partner of the California Beach Volleyball Association
LOS ANGELES – Cedars-Sinai Kerlan-Jobe Institute, a world leader in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of sports-related injuries and illnesses, today announced a new partnership with the California Beach Volleyball Association (CBVA) as the Official Healthcare Partner of this year’s tournaments .
Founded in 1962, the CBVA was created to bring together the local beach volleyball communities and maximize the opportunities to play through a unified schedule. As the sport grew, the official rulebook, skill divisions, and ratings system developed into the CBVA as it is today. This year’s schedule includes nearly 1000 tournaments, 10+ skill or age divisions, 21+ locations, and nearly 8000 active members.
“The California Beach Volleyball Association provides its player members of all ages and skill level an incredible platform to compete against today’s and tomorrow’s brightest stars. And when high-performing athletes participate in intense competition, there is an inheritant risk of injury which is why we are excited to provide CBVA and its players access to our extensive experience in the fields of sports medicine, orthopaedic surgery, and innovative rehabilitation. Our goal is to educate participants about injury prevention and recovery to ensure that they can play at their highest levels throughout this season and beyond,” explained David C. Hay, M.D., President and CEO of Cedars-Sinai Kerlan-Jobe Institute.
As a 501(c)4 nonprofit organization, the CBVA’s mission is to nurture, sponsor and promote beach volleyball. The CBVA promotes volleyball by conducting outdoor volleyball events while striving for the highest possible standards for players, tournament directors, members and sponsors.
“We pride ourselves in providing a training ground for every age group and ‘All Levels of Play.’ The scope of our Youth programs as well as our Adult Schedule feeder programs into the Collegiate and International arena is unparalleled. The CBVA leads the nation in the evolution of Beach Volleyball. The CBVA is proud to extend our partnership with the prestigious Cedars-Sinai Kerlan-Jobe Institute as a world leader in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of sports-related injuries and illnesses.
