This one-year fellowship is ACGME accredited and designed to offer the fellow clinical experience and expertise in the recognition and management of athletic injuries. Fellow will be exposed to a fast-paced and comprehensive primary care sports medicine program, highlighted by coverage of professional, collegiate and high school athletics in a didactic academic structure including active participation in clinical evaluation of patients. Fellow will receive direct instruction from an expert faculty member in addition to working alongside some of the most prestigious multi-specialty orthopaedic and sports medicine experts and clinical environment in the nation.
We offer a true mentorship setting and culture where Fellow has full access to faculty, educational and research opportunities to create a life-long relationship both with the science of sports medicine and with the instructing faculty.
Participation in research projects expected that can then be considered for publication in peer reviewed journals and for presentation at national meetings. The fellow has the option to select research projects that specifically interest him/her or to choose from a master list of available projects; however, all projects must be approved by the Institute Research Committee. Applicants must have must have a California State medical license prior to the start of the fellowship year.
